On the Wadsworth Lake design, we wanted to focus on their extensive water views overlooking the Willow Point golf course. We designed a large covered porch for daytime activities and a screened porch with a fireplace for cozy evenings. The transom glass on the lake side allows great views from every room. Designed with an open floor plan style, the family room, dining room, & kitchen are open, allowing for comfortable socializing yet, feeling cozy with flat coffered beam ceilings. Above the garage, we designed a guest suite with a living area, mini-kitchen, bedroom/bath, and stunning walk-out balcony.

The Hills residence has one of the rare point lots in The Willows, with water views on three sides; we designed their lake house with lots of windows to take advantage of lake views. Also, designing two-story glass walls in the family room allows for excellent light without being too intrusive. We also wanted to enhance outside views for their point lot, including designs for multiple large covered porches, with an outdoor fireplace off the main family room & grilling located on a wrap-around porch with access to the kitchen.

The Jacobs Lakehouse has views of Kowaliga Bridge. Their basement design has porches on the upper & lower floors, allowing access to lake activities and an outdoor fireplace next to an infinity pool for large gatherings. The family room has 26′ high vault ceilings, with an overlook balcony bridge for upper-floor views. This five-bedroom lakehouse with large overflow living above the garage can handle the biggest family holidays with space for everyone.

The Patel project allowed us to create a unique look for Lake Martin. Our client requested a three-story glass elevator and a large two-story entry. So our design led us to create a “Signature Entry” with a glass elevator. We designed a glass elevator shaft with a minimum stainless steel structure for unobstructed views. When entering the home, the two-story entry allows for incredible views up to cedar beamed & wood ceiling that continues with a view all the way thru the family room to Kowaliga Bridge. It also allows you to look down the stair and elevator shaft to the basement living space below, with an incredible bar & den to pool access.
We added another dramatic design element, an open beamed stair that wraps around a glass elevator shaft for three-story clear views, supported with steel beams to not wall off any views. The entry side, glass wall beyond the open stair, showers the stair & glass elevator with natural light. The vertical wood walls add another stunning visual effect to this “Signature Entry” for the Patel’s lake home.

The Engles lakehouse entry & kitchen interiors show how we designed the entry with lots of glass, splashing the stairwell with natural light. The wrap-around stair with a bridge allowed a little creative use of space, so we designed a simple reading nook for morning reading & coffee.
In the kitchen, built-in Sub-zero with cookbook shelving for easy access, with built-in wall ovens & range, cooking is perfect for those large families on the 4th of July holiday. We designed corner windows & corner a farmer’s sink for fantastic views & morning light. The cedar beam coffered ceilings add the perfect harmony of lake finishes to their kitchen.

Our design for the Pearsons’ residence is designed specifically for steep mountain grades for their property, which can also fit nicely for lake-side terrain. A motor court was needed to allow for access & parking. Large two-story porches with fireplaces on each level run the length of the view side of the house. A stone retaining wall on a steep mountainside was the perfect location for a large built-in hot tub. The entry doors have clear views thru the house, with glass in all rooms to take advantage of the valley & ridge to the west, allowing for amazing sunsets. We designed the gourmet kitchen with 60″ Wolf range, 60″ sub-zero refrigerators & oversized island for everyone to gather in the kitchen for the big game.
